Look to a Master

1. A photographer from the 1800's
Henry Fox Talbot
(February 11, 1800 - September 17, 1877)
This photographer's work interests me because he provides a snapshot of what life was like in the 1800's; the rustic, old look to the photos intrigue me

2. A photographer from 1900-1950.
Emil Otto Hoppé
(April 14, 1878 – December 9, 1972)
Hoppe's photographs express the raw emotion of his subject; faces of the women he photographed interested me because it is very easy to get drawn into the photo.

3. A photographer from 1951-1990
Jeanloup Sieff
(November 30, 1933 - September 20 2000)
This photographer really focuses on the human body (particularly women) black and white photos. It's really interesting how distinct and defined the shapes are in his photos.

4. A photographer from 1991-2000
 Sophie Calle
(1953-Present)
I really like this photographer because she takes black and white photos of every-day, ordinary items, usually in a bedroom yet it adds depth to the ordinary items, like theres a deeper meaning or hidden message or a past story that the viewer does not know...

5. A photographer from 2001-present
Larry Fink
(1952-Present)
I love weddings, so the moments that Fink captures before, during and after weddings is what captures my attention. I love the look of black and white it makes the scenes look very classic and romantic.
